Powered by a historic influx of federal investments, cities have never been better positioned to usher in a new era of city living. The pressure is on local leaders to leverage this once-in-a-lifetime funding opportunity to bolster their resilience by addressing chronic infrastructure challenges in transportation, broadband expansion, and housing. Doing so requires a deep understanding of the intersectionality of critical infrastructure sectors — and how seemingly disparate areas of investment are intrinsically intertwined. At Road to Future Cities: San Diego, Route Fifty and GCN talked to federal, state and local leaders to discuss what can be done to ensure local leaders are on the road to drive their cities into the future.
